Driving past this place for as long as I can remember and has been on the list of places to explore for just as long, the opportunity finally arose when I spotted new fencing erected around the site. Rumour has it that the place is going to reopen as another restaurant.

RAF Bawdsey
It’s been a long time coming this location, literally being on my list for as long as I can remember being a slight bunker nut that I am. With a date set we set out on the two hour trip to the bunker and although having a good explore on surface level, we were baffled when it came to access into the bunker down to the rather well sealed concrete caps on both entrances, including the air ventilation shaft.
John Gilpin Pub
After memories of passing this place and being dropped off in the carpark back in the college days, seeing the pub boarded up meant it’s been on the list to explore for quite some time.
Beechdale Swimming Centre
Having spotted a few other reports on this place and being not far from the area anyway, we decided to give this place a go and what a result it turned out to be. With a somewhat difficult entry and a slightly messy cut to the hand, we were in!
Forensic Science Facility
After seeing this place posted on a few forums it was straight at the top of the list of places to visit. After a few questions and a few leads we had our access and at the soonest opportunity we found ourselves at the site along with the man Uncharted World himself.
Dukes Genesis Nightclub
Without even realizing this place had shut down in 2012 and with the odd few hazy memories from back in my college days, I woke up to a tip off that this place was now accessible. Gathering every detail I could and messaging the usual local explorers, myself and Tiny Urban Exploration were at the site the very same day.
Camelot Theme Park
Long on our list, it was finally time to visit Camelot Theme Park embarking on nearly a 400 mile total drive, two cars and a lot of snow! What an awesome night it turned out to be.
RAF Longley Lane SOC Comms Bunker
Not many reports on this one and with a few related bunkers nearby we decided to give them a go. However due to the slightly snowy weather conditions outside and a very close mishap with what turned out to be a flooded ditch instead of a layby we only managed to visit this one bunker.
Heavy Anti Aircraft Gun Battery
Nestled somewhere between Essex and Hertfordshire is a little known about cold war anti aircraft battery. Unfortunately nothing much remains apart from what I can work out are the concrete control bunkers and the AA platforms themselves arranged in a sort of semi circle formation.

Interesting explore this “local” one was, I was amazed to find majority of the furniture and appliances still stored inside! Unfortunately our visit was cut short after setting the alarms off one too many times, so not many picture… not that anyone actually arrived, however we thought we had pushed our luck a little too much already.
